Since the notice of temporary suspension of guarantee for the 190 visa application from November 26, 2019, Queensland has now stopped accepting the application for Skilled Work Regional (visa 491) since 15/06/2020
The Queensland Migration Authority has announced that it will stop accepting new EOIs for the Skilled Work Regional Immigration Program (visa 491 - Skilled Work Regional) from 5pm on June 15, 2020. The suspension of applications will also apply for the 491 Small Business Owner visa program.
Applicants who submit an EOI before 5 pm June 15, 2020 and have received an invitation to apply will continue to be processed until June 30, 2020. If state nominations are not received by June 30, 2020, applicants need to submit a new EOI when Queensland reopens its 491 visa program for the 2020-2021 financial year.
Currently, Queensland has not yet been informed by the Australian Department of Home Affairs of the opening time and new immigration visa quota for the financial year 2020-2021.
Therefore, the Queensland Immigration Authority will not receive any calls or emails from applicants regarding the application progress or when the business, immigration and skilled immigration programs will be reopened at this state.
