Victoria has just issued an announcement that it will receive back 188 and 132 visa applications from 9:00 am September 8, 2020. The state will stop accepting applications at 5:00 p.m. on September 21, 2020.
Stage 1: From September 8, 2020 to October 6, 2020 This is a temporary opening period with a very limited number of applications. The federal government's priority during this period was to select candidates with the potential to help restore Australia's economy and health system to the dire effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Stage 2: after October 6, 2020 The Ministry of Home Affairs has not announced any quota for Australian immigrant visas for this period.
In the interim period, the basic Victorian government criteria (scale, level of investment…) did not change except for the business / investment project factor.
Victoria only considers issuing letters of guarantee (nominations) for business / investment projects that make a significant contribution to the state's economic recovery and health system. This is also the decisive criterion of candidates' competitive advantage. Therefore, the state emphasizes that candidates should present their business / investment plan in the declaration form “economic recovery assistance for entrepreneurs and investors” (download form here).
